Its Almost Christmas!

We are having an unusually warm December. It's been in the 50's for the majority of the month. We thought we were going to get a really big storm in November, so I got out the snowblower and made sure it was working and then all we got was a little rain. So back it went. It has really been weird not having snow, but I really like the temperatures. We will end up getting snow lets just hope it's not a whole lot :) We have all of our Christmas shopping done for a bit now, and feels really good. We are having family come in again for Christmas. We went to the lighting of the Ogden lights, and have been to Layton lights once, but will probably go again. We are planning to go to Salt Lake for lights on Temple Square and Christmas Street and hoping to go to Midway for the Ice castles but not sure if it'll get cold enough for them the way it's been lately. We got the Gingerbread houses put together tonight and will decorate them tomorrow. Patrick had what he called the best birthday he's ever had. He went shopping with my uncle for presents (which they've both come to love doing) and he got a lot of science kits, physics things. He loves putting them together. My brother came in and he went shopping with him as well for his birthday and got some Minecraft Legos. I got him the clothes he needs and some Minecraft lego animals. My mom and dad got him a wood working build it yourself kit which he really liked. He really liked going to Interstellar with my other brother. He said it was awesome!! I am sure a bit of it went over his head, but he loved it just the same. This past Sunday his Paternal grandparents came and got the boys for a birthday party with their family. His aunt got him the Lego Movie which will be great to have when we go on long car trips to watch on the dvd system. His grandparents got him a car lego set which he loved and had put together in no time. He really gets how it goes together quickly and very easily understands instructions. It really amazes me how quickly he can figure out how things go together and get it done. Things that are well above his age group is little challenge. We have been really blessed when it comes to being healthy. Nobody has had any more than a cold. Granted it's been really warm, not much has gone around and we all got our flu shots. Jack has really been doing better with pronunciation of words. That missing tooth has really held him back in pronouncing some of the words. He is working really hard and it's paying off. He has shown a big interest in writing, and maybe one of these days with a lot of help he'll understand we here write from left to right not right to left ha ha ha. But can write his name, just takes some studying to realize it's his name, backwards.
