Fall Prep
I swear we were just posting about how much we were looking forward to fall, and now with first snowfall in the forecast and Halloween almost behind us it seems like here comes winter. We don't mind much though. The faster we can get through winter the faster we can get back to warmer weather and back to Lagoon ha ha ha We had a blast there this year. Patrick wanted to know just how many times we went so we went to guest services and they scanned his pass, 21 times! We think we can out do it next season!! Frightmares has GOT to be the funnest part for us! We all really loved Zombie Mambo. The boys wanted me to video it so that they could watch it alllllll year until they bring it back. Patrick wouldn't try any new rides this year, and we didn't really push him. Jackson was hilarious as usual... Always asking when Lagoon-A-Beach would open soon and how long it was till his birthday again so he can spend it there. They tried a couple of the haunted houses and one may have been a bit scary for them, but they did really good and were laughing by the time they came out. The only thing that really gets them is the chainsaws lol. We have also been doing our Horror-Thon. The boys forgot how much they loved Beetlejuice, and The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, but hated when I would turn on Black and White movies. Patrick's going to hate when I turn on our traditional Young Frankenstein tonight ha ha ha.
Patrick received his Bear a couple weeks ago and was so happy his family could be there with him. He also earned an additional 6 arrow points to his uniform. I have a feeling we are going to have a very motivated scout :) He is really excited to start Weblo's
Jack is writing his name and can recognize it and insists people spell it Jackson instead of Jack. It's really funny how insistent he is. Both boys love raking the leaves. I am not sure why, I always hated raking the leaves. Jumping in them was a lot of fun but not raking them, so I let them do it however they want. We have everything winterized for the house and the boys can't wait for Winter.
I was able to help in Patrick's class for their Halloween party. It was so much fun! His teacher is SO inventive! They made glowing balloons, shrunken heads, haunted houses, and decorated cupcakes. I am so happy that I am able to be as involved with their activities as I am. Patrick and his class really love seeing me come in and help out. I know that a lot of mothers aren't able to spend as much time with their kids in the classroom and during their everyday activities, and just feel incredibly blessed that I am able to be there for them.
Last night was our ward party, and since there wasn't school today (Halloween) they had it at the park and had a bonfire. The kids loved having a fire and roasting marshmallows.
Thanks for all you do for us to make our year so fun!
