ReAL

I thought it would be a great Easter present for the boys to go to their first live ReAL game. We have another friend who wanted to take her son for his first game as well. We got really good seats pretty close to the field. They didn't really enjoy much of Carnival ReAL but Patrick was in love with it from the start. Jack is still a little young I think to get much out of it, but he had moments where he was really more interested in the game than playing around. Not many moments but one or two brief ones lol. Patrick really got into it, swinging his scarf around and chanting with the crowd. His facial expressions on missed goals or almost goals from the other team were priceless. I will definitely be taking Patrick back for another game. Jack will probably have more fun at them when he's older. Patrick was standing holding his scarf so the ReAL Salt Lake was showing and ended up on the big screen. He was so happy! It was a really exciting game, and happy for the experience. I love being able to share something I am passionate about with my boys, other than watching it on T.V. We have had one busy few days starting on Thursday. I took Patrick down to Comic Con which he really loved. He got to meet a man from one of his favorite shows Fact or Faked. He also got to buy a few Doctor Who buttons he wanted. We are looking forward to the next Comic Con. Friday we had a Doctor Who night with our friends in the neighborhood. The boys really love watching it, and they get to play with friends as well. Trying custard for the first time wasn't as bad as I thought. We poured it over brownies and really tasted good! Saturday we had a couple Easter egg hunts before going to the ReAL game. Sunday has been a very calm relaxing day. Just colored some eggs and played in the beautiful spring weather. Patrick starts end of year testing Monday, and hes really been working hard to learn everything he should know before moving on to 4th grade next year. The only thing he hasn't mastered is his dreaded handwriting. It is just awful! I don't think chicken scratch does it justice. Maybe by next year we will be able to read his work, maybe.
