Finally Summer!!!
It seems like it always takes us the longest to get out of school. The boys friends had gotten out of school and went on a 10 day vacation to Florida and back and they still were't out of school! hahahaha We have been keeping busy tho. Jackson started and finished his second season of soccer and did amazing! He was attacking the ball, scoring and loving it! I signed him up for the next 2 seasons, and if things continue the way they are, he will start comp soccer when he's 7.
We got season tickets to ReAL Monarchs who are the "minor league" team for ReAL Salt Lake. The boys have really loved it. All but one of the games have been in the rain, but we don't care. Jack has made fast friends with the supporters section who are called Salt City United. They have been so nice in letting him help hold TIFO'S, bang the drums, and stand and cheer with them. Patrick started cheering with them the last game we went to, with Jack. Since it's the inaugural season, seats are plentiful, and we ended up with 3rd row. They love waiting after the game to talk and shake hands with the players.
Patrick wasn't exactly excited for the end of the school year. The teacher he had couldn't have been better for him. She teaches hands on which we have discovered is how he learns. He did VERY well in her class. He brought home the principals award for best in science. For the last 2 days of school since his school doesn't do yearbooks, I was able to get him a lab coat with his nickname over the pocket (Einstein) and Mad Scientist on the back for his friends to sign. He loved it! He also gave his teacher a beaker to remember him by.
Jackson's last day of school was the week before Memorial Day. He was a little sad because he will never be in pre-school again, but is so excited to go to the same school with Patrick next year. Kind of hard to believe he's in kindergarten, but at the same time it's like finally! He's in Kindergarten, he is so ready to go and be in school.
We don't really have a whole lot planned for this summer. We have a few Monarch games and we bought tickets for a few ReAL games so that and Lagoon will keep us busy. Hopefully it doesn't fly by too fast. We love summer time!!
