Summer Fun!

We have been having a lot of fun the month or so after we got home from Wyoming. We have been able to spend a lot of time at Lagoon. The boys really like it. They have also gone far outside their comfort zone and try new things. Patrick went on a roller coaster I wouldn't step foot on until after I graduate high school. Granted it was brand new when I graduated, I would have never ridden it before. He hated it and was clutching his chest saying it was hard to breathe on it but he tried something new and I was so proud of him. He also really likes rides that go around fast in circles. Doesn't make him sick at all. So glad he doesn't have motion sickness. Jackson has also really branched out and tried new rides. Some he really likes and some he really doesn't. He's not really an inbetween kid it's either love or hate. We are figuring them out rather quickly. They have really liked going to Lagoon-A-Beach. It's felt really good while the weather has been over 100 for over a week. Patrick is swimming very well and am really proud of his swimming. He also really likes the slides where you take the tubes down. We had a really good 4th of July. We started off on the 3rd when I went out to dinner with a bunch of girl friends for a ladies night out, and prepared for our 2 mile walk the next morning. It was a lot of fun and had a good time. Then we woke up really early on the 4th to go to the Clearfield City Freedom 5k run/2 mile walk. I tried to stay with the other girls I came with and keep their pace in walking but it was just too slow for me and wanted to get a good time so I took off and started my own pace and was pretty much by myself walking. I ended up getting first place for the women and received a $50 gift certificate to Striders which is a shoe store. I am excited to go and look at their shoes. I also got a blue ribbon lol but I am so dang proud of myself for not only signing up for it, but completing it, and coming in first! After that we met up with some old friends and went to the parade. After the parade we were supposed to go to a bbq but on the way home Jackson fell asleep and took a long nap so we had to cancel. We did, however meet up with Kristen for a bbq at her house and the kids played then we went to Huntsville for fireworks. It was a really good time. The boys had so much fun. Next Sunday is the Weber State fireworks and we are going to stake out a spot and go with Kristen and her kids. I am kinda really excited to go and listen to music and play games watch fireworks, and just be around friends. Hopefully more people end up wanting to join us but if not it'll still be fum. Then 3 1/2 weeks later we head out for Portland. We are really excited to go to Portland. We have a lot of really fun things planned. I am so glad I have the time to take the boys to all these fun places and that they are comfortable and really enjoying life with me. We have really gotten into a nice routine. Sure things are really spur of the moment in the summer, but they know what is going to happen from day to day pretty much. They really like routine and consistency. These boys are everything to me and I am so blessed to have them full time. Things can be hard and rough but we are happy and love being around each other. I applied for a job a little while ago that will co-inside with Patrick's school schedule and that I can take Jack to that isn't taking me away more than 2-4 hours a day and they will be doing interviews in a couple weeks. I am really hoping to get a call back and get this job. It will be able to help out financially, and will be really good to have a job that I can have Jack with me for but won't miss out on any of Patrick's school activities and can be there if he gets sick.
