Our Summer!

We are having a really good summer so far. The boys went with their dad right after school got out for the summer for a month. They seemed to have a lot of fun. They really enjoy spending time with their dad. I'm glad they have a dad who likes being involved in their life. I spent the month helping friends and cleaning the house/yard. I really enjoyed taking long walks later at night. I really missed the boys and am so glad they are back with me. We are having a lot of fun together. Jackson had started potty training a little before going with his dad for the month and he continued the training. Jackson has shown a real desire and excitement for going to the bathroom. He is really hating wearing pull ups now and loves the underwear I got him. He has his accidents as any kid just learning has but recognizes it and wants out of his wet clothes. Patrick never cared if he was wet or dry so it's cool Jackson actually hates it. He has always done things early so him wanting to potty train almost 1.5 years before Patrick showed an ounce of interest is super to me. Saves money on diapers :) We are a little sad we aren't able to do as much camping as I would have liked but with none of the family here, and it being so dry there is huge fire danger it's just not logical to go. But hopefully there will be other years :) I took the boys to the aquatic center and they loved it. Jackson couldn't get enough of the slides and swimming. He is going to be a lot like Patrick. He loves playing with Patrick and his friends and Patrick's friends like having him along so it's really working out for the best. They love being outside. We really moved into a great neighborhood with really great neighbors. We are truly blessed.
